The Japanese embassy in China stated that its visa operations in China have "already returned to normal".

A statement posted on the embassy website on Friday said: "Due to the impact of the epidemic, the Japanese embassy in China had to downsize its visa operations temporarily for a period of time."

"Subsequently, the visa operations have already returned to normal according to the changes in the epidemic situation," the statement said.
