Quark Expeditions' smoking policy doesn't allow smoking in the ship's interior (which includes passenger cabins), also near the Zodiac boats and on shore excursions (landings). Shipboard smoking is permitted in a designated area only (ask the crew about it). Cigarettes must be extinguished properly and disposed of in the proper receptacle. Throwing cigarettes overboard is forbidden. Consuming personal alcohol anywhere on the ship is prohibited. Alcoholic beverages will be not served to passengers under 18 years of age.On all Quark ships, the dress code is casual, but dressing up for Captain's Welcome Reception is recommended.

夸克探险不允许在船舶内部（包括乘客小屋）和靠近黄道带船和海岸游览（着陆）吸烟，仅在船上指定区域内允许吸烟（可以询问船员）。香烟必须正确熄灭，并在适当的容器中处理。禁止投掷卷烟。禁止在船上的任何地方引用个人携带的酒精饮料，酒饮将不提供给18岁以下的乘客。在所有夸克邮轮上都没有着装要求，但建议在船长欢迎招待会上穿戴得体。

All items purchased from the onboard shop (Polar Boutique), drinks (at the lounge/bar) and services (laundry, postage, satellite communications, optional tours booked, etc) are charged to the passenger's onboard account. Payments of these accounts are made at the Reception Desk towards the end of the cruise. Passengers can pay only in cash or via credit cards. Checks are not accepted.

从船上商店（极地精品店）购买的所有物品、饮料（在休息室/酒吧）和服务（洗衣、邮费、卫星通信、预订的可选旅行等）均由乘客的邮轮账户支付，邮轮结束时在接待处统一付款。乘客只能使用现金或信用卡支付，不接受支票支付。

The cruise ship provides an English-speaking doctor who manages a medical facility (onboard clinic) stocked with common prescription medicines and basic first aid equipment. 

邮轮上配有一位会说英语的医生，他负责管理一个船上诊所和医疗设施，里面有常用处方药和基本急救设备。

By international maritime law, all passengers must participate in an emergency (muster) drill within 24 hours of departure. Upon embarkation, all passengers receive a ship safety briefing outlining appropriate onboard behavior and all emergency procedures. Next muster drill is mandatory and familiarizes all passengers with the lifeboats, lifejackets, the vessel's emergency evacuation routes.

On November 24, 2003, Quark Expeditions became the first travel company to offer a "total solar eclipse cruise" in Antarctica. In 2021 we planned two "Antarctic Eclipse" voyages during which our Moon will completely block the Sun to produce the solar corona phenomenon. The Earth's total solar eclipses happen approx every 400 years. The Antarctic solar eclipse will occur on December 4, 2021, in the Weddell Sea.

The two "Antarctic Solar Eclipse 2021" voyages were scheduled for World Explorer (17-day itinerary, November 26 - December 12) and Ocean Diamond (20-day itinerary, November 25 - December 14).Prices started from USD 17,000 pp.
